About The Role: Nature Communications is today’s leading multidisciplinary Open Access journal, publishing top-quality scientific research. We now seek applications from researchers with a quantum physics background, in particular those with experience in quantum optics, quantum technologies, and photonic implementations. With a critical eye and depth of understanding in your subject, but also with interests beyond your specialty, this could be the perfect role for you!
Responsibilities:
- Dealing with research papers.
- The selection of manuscripts with other editors; organizing peer review.
- Making informed editorial decisions led by expert advice.
- Representing your subject in the journal.
- Liaising with other editors at the sister Nature journals and with the international scientific community
- Traveling to conferences and to research institutions.
Qualifications:
- A PhD in quantum physics/quantum technologies.
- Some postdoctoral research experience is desired.
- An interest in scientific research and a passion for sciences.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- Ability to assess research novelty and implications.
- There should be availability to travel and network with the international scientific community.
- Editorial experience will be considered a plus but not a must.
