We are expanding our Technical Development Team and seeking a skilled Experimental Scientist / Technical Assistant who is passionate about lab work, sustainability, and technological innovation.

🔬 Your Mission

As an Experimental Scientist / Technical Assistant, you will be an essential part of UCANEO’s lab operations. You’ll support our talented team of engineers and scientists to develop, test, and refine our DAC prototypes. This hands-on role ensures that our lab runs smoothly, experiments are well-executed, and our innovative carbon capture processes reach their full potential.

Key responsibilities include:

✅ Assist in setting up and conducting electrochemical and process development experiments
✅ Maintain and calibrate lab equipment to guarantee reliability and accuracy
✅ Prepare chemical solutions and handle lab materials safely
✅ Collect, record, and analyze experimental data with precision
✅ Collaborate with cross-functional teams on prototype development and testing
✅ Uphold strict safety protocols and maintain an organized, clean lab environment

🧪 Your Profile

Essential skills and experience:

• 🎓 Technical diploma, Bachelor’s degree, or relevant certification in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
  
• 🧬 1+ years of hands-on lab experience, ideally in an industrial or research setting
  
• ⚙️ Familiarity with basic lab equipment, preparing solutions, and handling chemicals
  
• 📋 Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a structured work style
  
• 💡 Quick learner with a curious, open-minded approach to solving complex problems
  
• 🤝 Team player with excellent listening and communication skills
  
• 📑 Valid work permit for Germany, or ability to obtain one
  

📍 Work Environment & Culture
