The Stroke Research Group at the Vall dβHebron Research Institute (VHIR) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research Technician to support impactful research initiatives on ischemic stroke therapies and clinical outcomes.
This opportunity places you at the forefront of neuroscience and translational research at Barcelonaβs largest public hospital and Cataloniaβs premier health research hub.
π Education and Qualifications
β Required:
- Bachelorβs Degree in Biotechnology, Biomedical Sciences, or a related field
- Masterβs Degree in Translational Biomedical Research or equivalent
- Fluency in Spanish
β Desired:
- Training or certification in Stroke Research
- Fluency in Catalan and English
πΌ Experience and Knowledge
β Required:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a biomedical or clinical research role
- Solid understanding of ischemic stroke treatment protocols
- Strong organizational and communication abilities
β Preferred:
- Experience with data management and biostatistics
- At least 1 published or submitted research article or conference abstract
π¬ Main Responsibilities
As a Research Technician, your daily duties will include:
- Collecting, processing, and managing clinical and laboratory data
- Ensuring accurate and compliant study documentation and data entry
- Monitoring participant engagement and protocol adherence
- Collaborating across multidisciplinary teamsβclinicians, researchers, and engineers
- Participating in team meetings and contributing to protocol optimization
