🧬 About the Role: Bioinformatics Scientist
📍 Location: Flexible (US, Europe, Remote/Hybrid)
💼 Experience: 1–2 years (customer-facing preferred)
💥 Join our Global Care team and empower customers to tackle bioinformatics and healthcare data challenges using DNAnexus technology.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
✅ Provide top-tier scientific & technical support to customers
✅ Troubleshoot complex scientific and technical issues
✅ Strengthen customer relationships and ensure satisfaction
✅ Create & maintain customer resources (docs, FAQs, videos)
✅ Collaborate across teams to improve the customer experience
✅ Participate in occasional weekend on-call duty (~ every 6 weeks)
💡 Who You Are
✨ Degree in bioinformatics, software engineering, or related field
✨ Fluent in Python, BASH, C++, Java, etc.
✨ Strong understanding of genomics, molecular biology, and NGS
✨ Critical thinker with exceptional problem-solving skills
✨ Excellent communicator and passionate about customer service
✨ Familiar with CRM tools (Salesforce preferred), Google Workspace, and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure)
🔥 Bonus Skills (We’ll Train You!)
🌟 Knowledge of NGS secondary/tertiary analysis tools
🌟 Docker / Kubernetes experience
🌟 Workflow Description Language (WDL)
