Location: Remote/Global
Type: Full-Time
Join our cutting-edge data science and bioinformatics team to design computational frameworks and data pipelines that power the future of biotech. You’ll collaborate with scientists, data engineers, and software developers to unlock insights from complex omics datasets and accelerate AI-driven biotech innovations.
🔬 Key Responsibilities
- Run biotech R&D pipelines as a data scientist or data engineer
- Build robust ETL/ELT pipelines to manage large-scale datasets
- Work with open-source Apache tools (Airflow, Nifi)
- Integrate and analyze genomic & transcriptomic datasets
- Develop workflows for DNA & RNA sequencing (RNAseq, scRNAseq, WES)
- Assist in interpreting gene expression data for actionable insights
- Collaborate with wet-lab and data science teams to design experiments
- Recommend data transformation rules for AI/ML readiness
- Model data governance frameworks to ensure quality & compliance
- Integrate pipelines into Scispot’s tech stack and cloud infrastructure
🧬 Required Qualifications
- Pursuing/completed PhD or MSc in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or related fields
- Proficient in Python, R and collaborative coding environments
- Hands-on experience with high-throughput sequencing data (RNAseq, scRNAseq, WES)
- Expertise in biological databases and bioinformatics tools
- Deep knowledge of applying machine learning and statistics to biological datasets
- Familiar with public biological data repositories and standards
- Experience in cloud data storage & analysis solutions
- Proven analytical skills to manage and process large datasets
- Strong documentation and communication abilities
- Bonus: Published research in high-impact scientific journals
