About the Karaayvaz Lab: Our lab focuses on groundbreaking research in:
- Cancer biology
- Genetics and genomics
- Tumor microenvironment
- Biomedical sciences
- Biochemistry
Key Responsibilities:
- 🔬 Design and lead independent research projects
- 📊 Analyze and interpret data, prepare manuscripts
- 🐁 Perform mouse studies
- 👥 Collaborate with team members and train lab personnel
Required Qualifications:
- 🎓 PhD or MD/PhD in a relevant field (MD with lab experience may be considered)
- 💼 Research experience (graduate work qualifies)
- ✍️ Scientific writing experience
- 🗣️ English proficiency (proof required for certain visa statuses)
Preferred Qualifications:
- 💻 Experience in informatics
- 🔬 Recent PhD/MD graduate
- 📝 Manuscript writing experience
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in a stationary position for extended periods
- Manual dexterity for lab work
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
