⚙️ About the Role — Quality Control Molecular Biologist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Molecular Biologist to join our Quality Control (QC) Department. In this laboratory-based role, you will ensure the quality and reliability of our molecular biology products before they reach customers worldwide.

This is an excellent opportunity for scientists with a strong background in qPCR, endpoint PCR, isothermal amplification, and analytical methods in molecular biology to advance their career in a regulated, high-impact environment.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

✅ Perform routine quality control, in-process control, and special QC testing of Meridian’s molecular biology products
✅ Troubleshoot QC issues and conduct specialized testing when required
✅ Prepare accurate QC reports, keep meticulous records, and archive test data following SOPs
✅ Prepare reagents and solutions needed for assays and experiments
✅ Participate in transfer and validation of new analytical procedures
✅ Support validation and long-term stability programs
✅ Maintain and calibrate QC lab equipment, ensure proper lab organization and stock control
✅ Contribute actively to continuous improvement initiatives and represent Meridian’s mission and values daily

🧪 Your Profile

Required Skills & Experience:

✔️ Master’s degree in Molecular Biology or equivalent Life Science discipline
✔️ 2–3 years of relevant hands-on laboratory experience in QC for molecular biology products
✔️ Proven experience with qPCR, endpoint PCR assays, and isothermal amplification techniques
✔️ Familiarity with analytical methods for molecular diagnostics
✔️ Knowledge of safe handling of chemicals and reagents used in PCR workflows
✔️ Experience working under ISO 13485 or other controlled environments is an advantage
✔️ Strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and methodical work style
✔️ Excellent communication skills in English (German is a plus)
✔️ Critical thinking, problem-solving mindset, and effective teamwork
✔️ Skilled in using laboratory software and standard computer applications
✔️ Ability to manage priorities, organize workloads, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting
