🧪 About the Role: Molecular Lab Technician – Quality Control
Location: Hyderabad, Telangana, India
Employment Type: Regular Full-Time
Function: Production & Operations – Quality Control
As a Molecular Lab Technician, you will perform critical molecular biology tasks, including SNP testing, DNA extraction, and PCR assays. You’ll work collaboratively with internal departments like Supply Chain and Production to ensure smooth sample processing and data turnaround.
🔍 Key Responsibilities
🔬 Laboratory Operations:
- Manage seed and leaf sample collection, buffer preparation, and sample storage
- Perform DNA extraction and real-time qPCR assays
- Analyze data, interpret results, and update LIMS systems within defined turnaround times
- Troubleshoot experimental errors and support process optimization
- Assist in preparing and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Collaborate with regional QC teams for local and global testing improvement projects
🧹 Laboratory Maintenance:
- Ensure functionality and calibration of lab equipment, coordinating with service engineers as needed
- Maintain accurate lab records and logs
- Manage inventories of reagents and consumables, liaising with vendors for procurement
🧩 Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Coordinate with QA for documentation compliance
- Join QC and prioritization meetings; collaborate with IEF, GOT, and SHT teams
- Partner with the Safety Manager to implement and uphold lab safety standards
📋 Skills & Qualifications
✅ Essential Skills:
- Hands-on experience with seed and leaf sampling, DNA extraction, PCR
- Knowledge of genetic purity testing methods
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
- Ability to troubleshoot and maintain lab equipment

🎓 Education & Experience:
