As an <strong>R&amp;D Testing &amp; Laboratory Specialist<\/strong>, you&#8217;ll play a pivotal role in testing and ensuring the performance of <strong>Low Voltage switchgear products<\/strong>. Bring your expertise to the table and help us develop innovative solutions that make a difference!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>\ud83c\udfaf Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>\ud83d\udd2c Test Execution &amp; Documentation:<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong> Set up and conduct tests for Low Voltage switchgear products (circuit breakers, contactors) following industry standards. Document test results accurately.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>\ud83e\udd1d Team Collaboration:<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong> Coordinate with Global R&amp;D teams and manufacturing plants to prepare samples and execute tests.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>\ud83d\udee0\ufe0f Troubleshooting &amp; Root Cause Analysis:<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong> Investigate and resolve failures during testing with corrective actions.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>\ud83d\udcc4 Test Reporting:<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong> Assist in generating comprehensive test reports according to <strong>IEC<\/strong> and <strong>UL<\/strong> standards.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>\u2699\ufe0f Lab Equipment Maintenance:<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong> Ensure the lab equipment and tools are maintained and calibrated.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>\ud83d\udda5\ufe0f Design &amp; Development:<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong> Design and develop testing jigs and fixtures to improve efficiency.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>\u26a0\ufe0f Safety First:<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong> Follow <strong>HSSE norms<\/strong> (PPE, LOTO), raise alarms for risks, and maintain a clean and safe workspace.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>\ud83d\udd11 Collaboration &amp; Integrity:<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong> Embrace ABB&#8217;s values of <strong>safety<\/strong> and <strong>integrity<\/strong> while collaborating with internal and external teams.<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>\ud83d\udcdd Qualifications:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>\ud83c\udf93 Education:<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong> Diploma in <strong>Electrical Engineering<\/strong>.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>\ud83d\udcbc Experience:<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong> 5+ years in the <strong>design and testing<\/strong> of <strong>Low Voltage switchgear products<\/strong> (circuit breakers, contactors).<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>\ud83d\udcca Standards Knowledge:<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong> Strong understanding of <strong>IEC<\/strong> and <strong>UL standards<\/strong>.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>\ud83d\udd0c Testing Expertise:<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong> Proficient in conducting electrical tests and troubleshooting electrical devices.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>\ud83d\udd2c Lab Skills:<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong> Familiar with <strong>NABL-accredited<\/strong> labs and executing tests independently.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>\u26a1 Safety Knowledge:<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong> In-depth understanding of <strong>electrical safety requirements<\/strong>.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>\ud83d\udde3\ufe0f Communication Skills:<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong> Strong verbal and written communication.<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>\ud83c\udf0d About ABB:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>ABB is a global technology leader in <strong>electrification<\/strong> and <strong>automation<\/strong>, enabling a more sustainable, resource-efficient future.
