About the Role: 🎯 Join Illumina as a Senior Bioinformatics Support Scientist and be at the forefront of genomic technology! Partner with customers and teams across emerging markets to provide expert bioinformatics support and solutions.
Key Responsibilities: 📋
- Provide technical support for Illumina’s bioinformatics software portfolio
- Deliver customer training and consultations
- Troubleshoot customer complaints and technical issues
- Develop bioinformatics expertise within regional teams
- Participate in new software testing and implementation
- Create and review technical documentation
- Provide voice of customer feedback for product improvement
Required Qualifications: 🎓
- 5+ years of bioinformatics experience
- Hands-on experience with NGS data analysis
- Strong command of R, Perl, Python or similar languages
- Experience with high-performance computing
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills
- Willingness to travel up to 50%
Preferred Skills: ⭐
- Advanced degree/PhD in Genetics, Biology, Bioinformatics, or related field
- Experience with Illumina technologies (DRAGEN, ICA, Emedgene)
- Background in human disease genetics
- Cloud infrastructure knowledge (AWS)
- Experience with LIMS and laboratory processes
- Customer-facing experience in biotech/clinical industry
