🔬 About the Bio-Optomechatronics Lab
The Bio-Optomechatronics Facility at TU Delft’s Faculty of Mechanical Engineering is launching a revolutionary initiative. By integrating biomedical research with optical imaging and mechatronics, we’re creating a synergy of science and precision engineering — and we want YOU to be part of it.
Your contributions will be vital in:
- Guaranteeing biosafety compliance
- Managing ML1 lab activities
- Supporting research and education across departments
- Maintaining advanced microscopy setups and biological equipment
🧪 Your Key Responsibilities
As a Biolab Technician, you will:
- Be the first point of contact for lab safety and support
- Coordinate ML1 lab operations
- Train students in cell biology protocols
- Maintain and order lab supplies and equipment
- Provide biosafety training and uphold all safety standards
- Manage lab schedules and space utilization
✅ Qualifications – What We’re Looking For
We are searching for a candidate with:
- A relevant HBO/WO degree in Cell Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Life Sciences, or similar
- Minimum 2 years experience in an ML1+ biosafety-level lab
- Familiarity with cell biological techniques, microscopy, and bio-research tools
- A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a passion for interdisciplinary collaboration
- Fluency in English; BHV/EHBO certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain)
