Job Summary

The European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) in Grenoble is seeking a highly motivated Group Leader to develop an independent and innovative structural biology research program. The selected candidate will benefit from the state-of-the-art facilities and collaborative environment at the EMBL Grenoble Unit, part of the European Photon and Neutron Science (EPN) Campus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead an independent research program in integrative structural biology.
  • Utilize advanced technologies such as X-ray beamlines, cryo-EM, high-field NMR, and neutron scattering.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across the EMBL network.
  • Publish high-impact research and contribute to the scientific community.
  • Mentor and guide junior researchers and team members.
  • Participate in local unit management and contribute to the strategic goals of EMBL.

Qualifications

  • Education: PhD in Molecular Biology, Structural Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
  • Experience: Demonstrated ability to conduct high-quality, independent research.
  • Skills: Expertise in structural biology techniques, strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Other Requirements: Motivated to work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment, with a pro-active and positive problem-solving mindset.
