Job Purpose: Join their Informatics and Predictive Sciences group within the Discovery Biology and Translational Sciences (DBTS) team. You’ll work on real-world health data, design experiments, and analyze multi-omics data to support drug development decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- 📊 Implement state-of-the-art statistical methods for multi-omics data analysis
- 🧬 Develop and apply bioinformatics pipelines for NGS data (WES, WGS, RNA-seq, scRNA-seq)
- 📈 Evaluate the performance of NGS assays and conduct statistical analyses
- 🔍 Perform quality control and interpret NGS methodology results
- 👥 Collaborate with translational research teams on multi-modal data analysis
Required Qualifications:
- 🎓 Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, or related field
- 💼 5+ years of experience in pharma/biotech research environment
- 💻 Expertise in bioinformatics, statistical programming, and data science
- 🐍 Proficiency in R, Python, and high-performance computing environments
- 🧠 Understanding of cancer genomics and epi-genomics
Technical/Functional Skills:
- 🖥️ Hands-on experience with NGS data analysis tools and databases
- 📊 Strong statistical theory and familiarity with recent developments
- 🔬 Working knowledge of workflow languages (e.g., CWL or NextFlow)
Behavioral Skills:
- 💡 Strong problem-solving and creative thinking abilities
- 🗣️ Excellent communication skills, including ability to discuss complex ideas
- 🤝 Collaborative mindset and ability to work across organizations
